Travel gear

I’ve been traveling for many years now and the resources listed below are the exact ones I am using when I plan and book the next destination. I believe they are the best ones out there.

Please note that some of the links below are affiliate links, and at no additional cost to you, I earn a commission if you make a purchase. I use them because I like them and have made my travels better.

Accommodation

Booking.com
Booking.com is a booking site with the largest hotel base – from budget to luxurious hotels.

HotelsCombined.com
HotelsCombined.com is a hotel fare search engine comparing hotel prices across many booking websites such as Booking.com, Agoda, etc.

Couchsurfing.com
This website connects you to people who can host you for free. It’s a great way to meet locals and save money.

FLIGHTS

SkyScanner.com
SkyScanner.com searches the best airfare among different airlines, including many of the budget carriers (but not all of them!)

transportation

Rome 2 Rio
Use it to see how to get from point A to point B the best and cheapest way possible. It gives you all the bus, train, plane, taxi, or boat routes that can get you to point B and the cost.

BlaBlaCar
BlaBlaCar is a ridesharing website. I used it in France, Poland, Austria. It’s reliable but sometimes you may not be lucky with the drivers so read carefully!

Sincerely,

Irina
