Om namah shivaya, beautiful people!
I’m just back from a paradise yoga retreat in Adeje, Tenerife helping the master Aday Anahata with the cooking a.k.a. karma yogi. It’s been one of the greatest experiences ever – sunny weather, yoga, hiking, kayaking, sunbathing, cooking, singing, mantra chanting, meditating, laughing, swimming, meeting beautiful souls…
I didn’t know Tenerife’s weather is so nice – around 22 degrees, warm waters, just perfect. What I also like is the mountains there – lots of volcanoes, craters, nice pinewood forests, the highest peak in Spain is Teide’s 3718m.
The yoga retreat is at a beautiful hacienda Cristoforo – a complex with houses, swimming pool, yoga hall, green grass terraces. Every house is with different design. Here is a link to the booking site: http://www.haciendacristoforo.com/entorno-de-cristoforo/
Yoga en Tenerife
The retreat is 8 days long. Start with tea, yoga practice then breakfast. Some free time and go hiking, or beach, or boat, or kayaking. Then some free time and yoga session. Dinner and free time. The time flies so quickly.
Here is Aday’s website where you can book your yoga retreat: http://yogaentenerife.com
What I liked about the yoga sessions is the mindfulness you practice, in every movement, lots of mantra chanting. I especially liked Barbara’s session with singing and playing guitar. 🙂
My task was to cook – I prepared a Bulgarian cold soup called tarator, Ukranian soup with beetroot called borsh, Turkish salad kioupoulou, falafel, stuffed eggplants. I think I did my task. Hope my karma improves 🙂
Namaste, my friends.
Hope to see you somewhere in our beautiful world.
